Focus Office: Editing Job Rights
Focus has a suite of Job Rights to allow/restrict functionality for each job.
For example, you may want to restrict servers from voiding items without manager approval. If all Void-related Job Rights are disabled for the Server job and enabled for Managers, they will need a manager to enter their access code to void an item/payment.
Here's how to edit job rights using Focus office on your web browser:
Step 1: Log into Focus Office
- Go to office.focuspos.com
- Login using your login credentials provided by Alpha POS.
- If you do not have credentials or have forgotten your login, please email support@alphapos.net.
- We recommend using the Google Chrome web browser for the best experience.
Step 2: Go to Jobs
- After logging in, select the Employee's icon (located on the left-hand side of the screen)
- Select Jobs
Step 3: Edit the Job Right
- Select the Job that you would like to edit
- Select the Rights tab
- Turn on or off any rights that you would like to change
- SUGGESTION: Use the search bar for greater efficiency
- NOTE: See descriptions for all Job Rights at the bottom of this article.
Step 4: Add to Collection
- Select New Collection or Existing Collection if a collection has already been created.
- If a New Collection is selected, add a Name and description.

Customer - Print Check When Assigned | A guest check will print when it is assigned to a driver. This option applies to both the ‘Driver’ command and the ‘Assign’ command on the Dispatch screen. |
Customer - Prompt for Order Type | Prompts the user to choose an Order Type before looking up a customer. This is used if the order taker asks the customer up front whether the order is delivery or pickup. Since the Order Type is known, the proper search criteria and fields are displayed for the customer. |
