Focus Local: Change a Blackboard Image
Blackboards are a great way to deliver messages to your staff. You can display Blackboard images on on the login screen of any order entry station. This article will teach you how to change the Blackboard image on display using Focus Local.
Restrictions
The file types that are displayed are .txt (Text files), .rtf (Rich text files), .jpg (Jpeg files) and .bmp (Bitmap files). Note: The Blackboard dimension is 530 pixels wide by 580 pixels high when using a resolution of 1024x768. The files used for Blackboards need to be added to the Board folder in the Focus directory.

- Edit Blackboards
From an Order Entry Station
Step 1: Select the Wrench icon from the login screen
Step 2: Choose the Blackboards option
Step 3: Enter your access code (fingerprint or manager card option available)
Step 4: Select a Blackboard & Click Details
Step 5: Click the File icon to browse for a replacement image which will have been added to the Board folder in the Focus directory
Adjust the Active Days and rename the Blackboard as needed.
You can adjust the # of Seconds the image displays and the Display Level if desired. Each station can be configured to display images up to a level from 1-10. If a station is configured to display images from Level 1-3, than a Blackboard image at Display Level 4 will not display on that station.
Path to Wrench > Setup > Locations > Stations to adjust the display level.
Step 6: Save & Close once all settings are adjusted
Navigating to Blackboards from the Back of House
Step 1: Log in with your access code
Step 2: Select the Blackboards icon or path to Order Entry > Blackboards
You can also edit a stations display level by selecting Locations > Stations
